DENTON, Texas (March 25, 2025) – Excellence on the court and in the classroom remains defining qualities of the Texas Woman's basketball team.
For the third straight year, multiple Texas Woman's basketball players have been named to the
College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Scout Huffman,
Ashley Ingram,
Averee Kleinhans and
Leila Patel were named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Team.
To be eligible for the All-District nomination, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and must have played in at least 90 percent of the team's contests.
Following the Academic All-District nomination and selection, a committee selects "the student-athletes who perform at an elite level in the classroom and in competition" to advance onto the Academic All-America ballot.
Huffman, a fifth-year student from Prosper, Texas, is majoring in Biology – Pre-Med Track. She was named to the All-LSC First Team and the LSC All-Tournament team this season.
Ingram is a senior from Bridgeport, Texas and is majoring in Kinesiology-Pre-Occupational Therapy. She was also named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team for the third straight season, and she also earned All-LSC First Team Honors, All-LSC Defensive Team honors and was named the LSC All-Tournament MVP. Additionally, she was named a WBCA First Team All-American and a D2CCA Second Team All-American.
The LSC Sixth Woman of the Year, Kleinhans, a junior from Nocona, Texas, is majoring in Dietetics – Nutrition. Kleinhans was named to the All-LSC Third Team and the NCAA South Central Regional All-Tournament Team.
A senior from Frisco, Texas, Patel is majoring in Business Management. She was named to the All-LSC Second Team and to the LSC All-Tournament Team.
This marks the second straight year Huffman and Ingram have been named CSC Academic All-District honorees. It marks the first career honors for Patel and Kleinhans.
