DENTON, Texas (Sept. 30, 2025) – Texas Woman's soccer returns to Pioneer Soccer Park midweek before heading to Tyler, Texas for a weekend showdown. The Pioneers (7-0-1, 3-0-1) will host Eastern New Mexico (0-6, 0-3) on Wednesday, Oct. 1, before traveling to face UT Tyler on Saturday, Oct. 4. Kickoff against ENMU is set for 7 p.m. and Saturday's road match at the Citizens 1st Bank–Perkins Soccer Complex is scheduled for 1 p.m.

A LOOK AT UT TYLER: UT Tyler started the season with five straight wins, including three shutouts, before falling 2-0 to DBU and drawing Lubbock Christian. The Patriots face St. Edward's midweek before hosting TWU on Saturday. Forward Ella Anderson leads UT Tyler in both goals and assists and will look to spark the Patriots' offense at home.

A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU earned a gritty 2-2 draw at Midwestern State last weekend, rallying from a 2-0 halftime deficit. Alyssa Striker opened the second-half scoring, while team leader Giselle Gutierrez delivered the equalizer late to preserve the Pioneers' unbeaten start. Gutierrez leads TWU with five goals and is tied for first in the Lone Star Conference with 15 shots on goal.

KEYS TO THE GAME: START THE ATTACK >> TWU ranks second in the LSC in goals (26), points (76), and assists (24), trailing only conference leader DBU. The Pioneers average 3.25 goals per game on 15.9 shots, with 69 of 127 total attempts on target. Defensively, TWU has allowed just four goals in eight matches, recording five shutouts.
The Pioneers look to build on their strong start with two more conference matchups this week against the Geyhounds and Patriots.
