RICHARDSON, Texas (Feb. 23, 2026) - After recording her third consecutive double-double and seventh straight game scoring in double figures, forward Gabby Elliott has been named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Elliott posted 19 points and 17 rebounds in a road win over University of Texas at Tyler. For the week, she averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks while Texas Woman's held opponents to a combined 24.7% shooting from the field. The Pioneers also outrebounded UT Tyler by 19 in the victory.
The win marked Elliott's fifth consecutive double-double, giving her 13 on the season before the streak was snapped against UT Dallas, where she finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Elliott ranks fifth in the LSC in scoring at 16.3 points per game and leads the conference with 11.3 rebounds per contest, a figure that ranks among the top 10 in NCAA Division II. She is third in the conference in field-goal percentage (54%) and second in blocks per game (1.7).
"Gabby's consistency on the defensive end continues to elevate the program," said Head Coach Beth Jillson. "She takes pride in rebounding and protecting the paint, and her effort never wavers.
