DENTON, Texas (Feb 25, 2026) - The Texas Woman's gymnastics team celebrated another Midwest Independent Conference Weekly Award winner this week.

Earning her first MIC weekly honor of the season, Juliaunna Baker was named Newcomer of the Week.

"We are so proud of Juliaunna and how she has consistently competed for her team this year," said TWU Gymnastics Head Coach Lisa Bowerman. "Whatever event and whatever spot she is needed in, she steps right in with confidence and performs like a veteran competitor. This is just the beginning of a great career for Juliaunna!"

In just her second time competing on vault this season, Baker scored a 9.750. In the previous meet at Centenary, she also posted a 9.775 on vault.

The honors mark the eighth MIC weekly award for the Pioneers this season and the program's first Newcomer of the Week award.
