DENTON, Texas (Feb. 26, 2026) - The Pioneers return to Kitty Magee Arena on Friday following last week's win over Oregon State, Kent State and Arizona State. The meet marks TWU's second home quad of the season.
TWU will compete at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, against No. 4 Florida, Arizona State and Fisk.

HISTORY: This meet will mark the first-ever matchup for TWU against both Florida and Fisk, adding a new chapter to the Pioneers' competition history. TWU most recently faced Arizona State just last week at Kitty Magee Arena in the program's first home quad meet of the season. The Sun Devils hold a 3-1 advantage in the all-time series against the Pioneers, making this week's rematch another strong test for TWU as they continue through the 2026 season.

A LOOK AT FLORIDA: The Gators just competed against No. 6 Georgia giving them the Bulldogs their first home loss with a score of 197.575. They are currently ranked fourth overall and first on bars. Their highest team score dates back to January 30th against Arkansas with a 198.050. They have made an overall score of 196.500 or higher all season. Selena Harris-Miranda, has scored 9.950 on both vault and bars, and 9.975 on both beam and floor.Â

A LOOK AT ARIZONA STATE: The Sun Devils scored their second-highest score for floor with a 49.125 and a new season best on vault with a 49.050 in their last meet. They sit at rank 32 with their highest score being 196.050 against BYU back in January. Kimberly Smith has scored 9.8 and higher on vault and beam, and 9.9 or higher on bars and floor.Â

A LOOK AT FISK: The Bulldogs have a team score high of 189.800. Their highest individual score on beam is a 9.875 by Aliyah Reed-Hammon. They are coming off of a quad meet loss to Towson, Eastern Michigan, and George Washington with the score of 189.800. This is their first match against ASU, Florida, and TWU.Â

LAST MEET: TWU last competed Sunday, Feb. 22 at KMA against Oregon State, Kent State, and Arizona State. The Pioneers began the meet on vault scoring a 48.925 team score. Sophia Isbell led the team with a 9.85, matching her career high for a second time. Kyleigh Ghanbari set a new career high with a 9.825. On bars, TWU scored a 48.950 team score with Bailey Bourgeois and Brooke Ferrari tying top individual scores with 9.825 each. Jordan Loock also set a new career high with a 9.800. With beam, TWU scored 49.025 which is a new season best! Sophia Isbell matched her career high at 9.875 and Alaina Reid and Ruby Goad both scored a 9.850 matching a career high for Goad and setting a career high for Reid. Lastly, on floor the Pioneers totaled a 49.075 team score. Sophie Hernandez scored a 9.875 matching her season high for the fourth time. TWU finished on top with a team score of 195.975, Oregon State in second with 195.775, Arizona State in third with 195.550, and Kent State falling fourth with 195.075.Â

WEEKLY HONORS: Juliaunna Baker earned her first MIC weekly honor of the season! She was named Newcomer of the Week. In just her second time competing on vault this season, Baker scored a 9.750. In the previous meet at Centenary, she also posted a 9.775 on vault. This marks the eighth MIC weekly award for the Pioneers this season and it's the first Newcomer of the Week award.Â
