DENTON, Texas (Feb. 4, 2026) - Texas Woman's STUNT athletes Kara Abram and Alicia Kenney were recognized with Lone Star Conference weekly honors following the opening week of the 2026 season. Abram was named LSC Stunter of the Week, while Kenney earned LSC Tumbler of the Week honors.
The awards mark the first weekly conference honors of both Abram and Kenney's careers.
Abram played a key role in TWU's 3-0 start at the McNeese Tournament, contributing across multiple events in wins over Texas A&M-Kingsville, Centenary, and McNeese. Her strongest performance came in the finale against McNeese, where she posted a power ranking of 22 and finished second overall in the Pioneers' 13-10 victory.
Kenney was also a big factor in the Pioneers' unbeaten weekend, delivering consistent performances throughout the McNeese Tournament. Against Centenary, the junior tumbler recorded power rankings of seven in both jumps/tumbling and pyramids/tosses, finishing tied for the top score in each event. Kenney matched those results in the weekend finale versus McNeese, again earning top marks of seven in both events.
Up next, TWU will compete at the DBU Tournament this weekend Feb. 6-7 in Dallas, facing conference opponents St. Edward's, Texas A&M-Kingsville, and DBU, along with the University of Texas.
