DENTON, Texas (March 12, 2026) - Junior Caroline Bowns earned Midwest Independent Conference Performance of the Week honors after recording a season-high performance on uneven bars during Texas Woman's meet at Oklahoma on Sunday.
Bowns posted a 9.875 on bars to lead the Pioneers on the event, highlighting a strong showing against the nation's top program. The routine marked her highest score of the season and helped anchor TWU's bars rotation.
"Caroline's performance was absolutely phenomenal," TWU head coach Lisa Bowerman said. "She is one of the most dynamic and beautiful bar swingers in the nation and so deserving of this award."
The award is the second Performance of the Week honor of Bowns' career and her third overall weekly conference recognition. It also marks her first conference award of the 2026 season and the 10th MIC weekly honor for the Pioneers this year.
