- A LOOK AT THE PATRIOTS: In their last game, UTT dominated Dallas Christian as they led 44-7 at halftime. All 12 players on the team were able to play in this game and score points; conveying their strength beyond their starting line-up. UTT was selected third in the LSC Preseason Poll, as they are coming off of a strong season, in which they made their second straight appearance in the Sweet 16. However, the Patriots fell to the Pioneers in the NCAA South Central Region Championship last year. The Patriots are currently receiving votes on the WBCA National Poll, and they are ranked No. 20 on the D2CCA National Poll.
- A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: As the Pioneers are coming off of a historical season themselves, TWU is set up to keep that momentum going as they are ranked No.1 in the nation for the second straight week. In their last game, Ashley Ingram matched her season high with 23 points. Similarly, Leila Patel gained a career high with five assists during the game. The Pioneers also limited their turnovers to only eight, which was the lowest amount they had this season. TWU also shared the wealth, dishing out 17 assists in the win. TWU dominated on the defensive end, holding Colorado School of Mines to just nine points in the second quarter of action. They will look to keep up their lockdown defense going against UT Tyler.
- A STRONG HISTORY: The Pioneers and the Patriots have played a total of nine games together with TWU winning six of the nine. As they embark on their tenth game, TWU hopes to secure their third consecutive win against UTT. On the road against the Patriots, TWU is 2-1, with their last loss coming during the 2022-23 season. The Patriots are currently averaging 69.7 points per game, and the Pioneers are scoring 66.7 points per game, while holding their opponents to an average of 52 points per game. TWU will look to limit the scoring of the Patriots on Saturday.
