DRIBBLING IN DENTON

DEFENSE: Through four games, TWU is holding opponents to 63.8 points per game. The Pioneers have also dominated early in games, outscoring opponents 83–55 in first quarters, and forcing 18.3 turnovers per game, ranking among the best in the conference. TWU's pressure defense and interior presence led by Gabby Elliott (10.0 rebounds per game) gives the Pioneers a strong defensive advantage.
SECOND CHANCE POINTS: The Pioneers will look to control the glass against an SNU team debuting a renewed front court. TWU averages 32.8 rebounds per game, including 93 defensive boards on the season, and has been effective limiting second-chance opportunities for opponents. A strong rebounding effort from TWU's post players and guards will be key in preventing SNU from extending possessions.
SHARE THE WEALTH: TWU's balanced scoring attack has been one of its greatest strengths. The Pioneers are averaging 70.0 points per game, led by Elliott (17.5 ppg) and Averee Kleinhans (15.0 ppg), while Jada Celsur, Madi Lumsden and Kayla Glover combine for nearly 28 points per contest. Ball movement continues to drive TWU's offense, with 37 total assists through four games and a strong ability to create high-percentage paint touches.
