DENTON, Texas (Nov. 3, 2025) - Texas Woman's sophomore goalkeeper Faith Graves has been named the Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, earning the honor for the first time in her career. Graves becomes the third Pioneer to receive a weekly conference award this season, joining Lupita Bueno and Giselle Gutierrez, who has been recognized as both the Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week this year.
"I'm proud of Faith and how she has stepped up late in the season for us," said TWU Head Coach Babak Abouzar. "She made some big saves to help us get two much needed wins last week. We look forward to continuing to see her grow."
Graves was outstanding between the posts this week, recording two shutout victories over Oklahoma Christian and St. Edward's. In just her fourth start of the season, she tallied eight saves while facing 19 total shots, keeping both opponents scoreless.
The two clean sheets marked her third consecutive shutout, showcasing her growing confidence and command in goal. Graves' steady presence and timely saves were instrumental in leading the Pioneers to their 12th win of the season, the program's best mark since 2021.
The Pioneers will look to lean on Graves' command in goal as they host the Angelo State Rambelles tomorrow night at 6 p.m. for the regular-season finale at Pioneer Soccer Park.
