DENTON, Texas (March 15, 2025) – The Texas Woman's basketball team continues their postseason play tonight in Kitty Magee Arena in the NCAA South Central Regional Semifinals.
No. 1 TWU (32-1) will meet the No. 5 seed Eastern New Mexico (21-9) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
Last night, the Pioneers defeated the No. 8 seed Adams State, 75-52, to advance. The Greyhounds upset the No. 4 seed Colorado Mesa, 56-52, to win their first NCAA Tournament game in program history and advance to the semifinals.
This marks the second straight year for TWU to advance to the Regional semifinals.

- LAST MEETING: The Pioneers and Greyhounds met once in the regular season in Kitty Magee Arena on Jan. 25. TWU claimed the win 63-55. In the game, TWU trailed by seven at halftime, 40-33. Then, they came out in the second half and dominated on defense, as they held ENMU to just seven points in the third quarter and eight points in the fourth quarter. Ashley Ingram led the Pioneers with 17 points and eight rebounds. Scout Huffman added 12 points and four rebounds. Leila Patel also grabbed eight rebounds. TWU shot 41.8% from the field and did not connect on a three pointer in the win. They held ENMU to just 17.6% from beyond the arc. Additionally, they forced the Greyhounds to turn the ball over 16 times. Ishuana Hunter led ENMU in the game with 20 points, but she will not play in tonight's game due to injury.
- DISH ASSISTS: In their win during the regular season, the Pioneers recorded 12 assists, while ENMU dished out just five assists. TWU made the Greyhounds take care of the ball and play more insolation offense, which helped the Pioneers lock down on defense. Additionally, the Pioneers are at their best when the ball is moving around. Assists will be key in tonight's contest.
- CRASH THE BOARDS: Last night, in their game against Colorado Mesa, ENMU out-rebounded the Mavericks 42-37. Of those 42 rebounds, 12 of them were offensive boards for eight second chance points. The Pioneers out-rebounded Adams State in their win 41-25, with nine offensive rebounds for six second chance points. TWU will look to control the boards in the game tonight.
