Romberg was a dual sport athlete while at TWU from 2000-03, playing soccer and competing in gymnastics for the Pioneers. As a gymnast, she claimed the USA Gymnastics Individual All-Around Title in 2003. Additionally, she was a USAG All-American on all-around and vault in 2000, all-around, vault, and uneven bars in 2001, floor in 2002 and all-around, vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor in 2003. In 2002 and 2003, she was a NCAA Regional Qualifier, qualifying in all-around and vault. She helped lead the Pioneers to USA Gymnastics National Championship Titles in 2000 and 2003. In soccer, Romberg played for the Pioneers in their inaugural season beginning in 2002. She led the Pioneers in goals in 2003 and assists in 2002 and 2003. She was honored as an All-LSC awardee in 2002 and as a member of the LSC All-Academic Team in 2002 and 2003.
