Flores, a four-year letter winner at shortstop, finished her career as one of the top hitters in NCAA Division II.  She was a four-time All-Conference selection and a two-time All-Region selection.  In 2004 Flores was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Third Team All-American and the Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Year.  In 2002 she was selected to the South Central Region All-Tournament Team.

Flores also received the 2004 TWU President’s Award, the highest honor given to a current student-athlete.  She received Academic All-District and Academic All-LSC South Division honors three times and was named the 2004 LSC Scholar-Athlete.

After completing her eligibility, Flores served as a student assistant coach in 2004-05.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in adaptive physical education and a minor in special education in 2005.  She completed her master’s degree at the University of Texas in 2007 in special education.
